HISTORY OF OUR FILM
2008
Franksbnetwork Productions was established in October 18th 2008, when three students pulled together to make a series of parodies, initially beginning with a documentary style, improvised take on J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings and EON Productions' James Bond. After the success of the Lord Of The Rings Parody didn't particularly go as hoped, the team decided to stick with James Bond parodies, going on to produce Episodes 2, 3, Christmas Special and a Character interviews parody special.
2009
2009 opened up a new era for fbnproductions as it built it's website around the upcoming new take to making parodies. After ditching both the old camera ware for upgrades and the short 3-4minute story lines, the team went to make proper 10-20 minute episodes taking the mickey out of Bond through satire and laugh out loud improvisation. There was also, notably, a one-off special of a Doctor Who parody, which was unfortunately discontinued as a requirement of funding was needed. We hope to continue this parody at the end of 2010. fbnproductions came up with the bridge episode, "Secret Agent Man", which changed the way fbnproductions filmed the episodes, moving on to more thoroughly planned locations, ideas and storylines with better characters and twists. Individually, fbnproductions launched Franks' new vlog, which proved successful amongst some fans.
2010
fbnproductions kicks up a pace! After Secret Agent Man, fbnproductions produced the groundbreaking "Swederaker", entitled as a mick take of Moonraker. "Swederaker" was the first Bond to be filmed in a snow like scene and given a location of Sweden. It gave birth to the Organisation trilogy parody with the hugely successful three-parter "Thorfinger" and the two-part finale, "Thunderthor". This series of Bond saw Franksbnetwork's Youtube subscriptions rise up to 27, and fan channels to be constructed as well. Bond's character was then killed off in a marvel of mickey take tunes and hilarious dances in 2010, in order to make way for a new path of filming. Although this caused controversey amongst fbn's fan base (with Bond being the greatest hit), fbnproductions' management went ahead with the choice and it has proved to be a wise one since! fbnproductions has produced the all new CSI Miami mick take, entitled CSI Washington. The one off episode followed the usual team in an investigation to a mysterious garden death. The accent attempts trumped this episode. Also, another Franks talks about vlog was produced and saw a quick view count too and more may well come in the winter of 2010.
After the launch of the second vlog, fbnproductions released a satirical three parter entitled "the real Primeminister's debate" in which the team impersonated the Lib Dem leader, Labour leader and Conservative leader in a humourus number of topical arguments. After it's release, politics became a hot time for the production team as in quick succession they released Franks' video rant on British Politics as apart of the vlog pilot that has been undergoing throughout the summer. Following this, the team gave Ben Shipway the lead role in their next one-off parody called "The One Musketeer" which saw sword battles and silly one-liners galore! Although not too much of a success, it did put up oppurtunities for new directions of the team.
Also in June 2010, fbnproductions' The Orange Cover released the first episode of their radio series, entitled "Time Travel". Orange radio has been comissioned for a further 5 episodes to complete the series and a possible second series will be dependant on the radio show's success on Youtube as well as it's own radio site (which should be up by Christmas 2010). The latest edition to fbnproductions' video archive was the collection of Voice Overs, commisioned and release in July and August. They follow different segments of TV Film or programmes and the team do their best to keep up with some voice overing at the same time! It's all very fun!
Dance Videos
As well as the popular parodies by fbnproductions, there's also been a series of dance productions produced for numerous hit records such as "Horny as a Dandy", "Kung Fu Fighting", "Hot 'n' Cold" and "Crazy Frog." The legendary Horny As A Dandy has been rereleased on franksbnetwork's Youtube channel, and it's even sexier than before! Sexbomb, another dance video production by fbn, is the most watched video produced by the team. It has reached an incredible 1,741 views in just over a year.
